I recently had a very frustrating experience while trying to establish care for my son at South Shore Medical. After moving, I began the process of transferring my son’s medical records from his previous pediatrician, which is located over two hours away. In person, the nurses are nice as can be. On the my chart portal, they are snarky and rude. My elderly father had a terrible experience with the front desk women and quite frankly, there are far better places around that will treat everyone with dignity and respect. They also never get back to you so good luck if you’re waiting on a reply or results.

Giving a review on behalf of my husband. Pro: It was easy to get the appointment within a month. Cons: lack of communication from PCP referral to team. It was for a mosquito borne disease Dengue vaccine, but the physician had no idea of the reason for the visit, what this dengue disease is and my husband had to educate them. Wasted time to travel there, appointment time and consult fee. Clinic has a set list of vaccines they can administer and that did not include the dengue vaccine so it was a wasted trip.

Was on the phone for over an hour and the nurse was incredibly rude when I had a simple question about scheduling an appointment. Very disappointing and glad my PCP is no longer practicing here.
