The young woman who checked us in was VERY impolite, she practically ran ahead to the building, when I commented that when younger I could move that fast, she said, well, you had your time, now it's our turn. The next morning she put out breakfast, didn't make eye contact with anyone, didn't respond when asked a question...she should not be interacting with guests. A delightful place to stay. We met up with two other couples, and we all loved the place. They went out of their way to accommodate us for dinner, setting us up in the parlor where could talk without disturbing other diners. Thai food was delicious. Our room had some nice touches such as an old telephone and typewriter. Heat was from a radiator and it kept us toasty warm. The mattress was very comfortable. We enjoyed having drinks in the parlor. Breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay there again.

We truly enjoyed our visit. Everyone we dealt with was welcoming and accommodating. The house is so beautiful with unique finishings and details. We ate at the restaurant and it’s one of the best meals we have had. Delicious food with amazing service. Staying here was the epitome of delightful.

Such a cute little place to stay! Our room was clean and had a historic feel which we loved. The location was perfect to be able to walk into downtown Bennington. I wouldn't recommend the $10 breakfast since it was comprised of fruit with yogurt, stale bagels, and drinks (although the orange juice was really good). The staff was helpful and friendly, and overall, we really enjoyed our stay!
