Brought an old Mercury marine outboard here after I exhausted my own repair abilities. They did an outstanding job and I later noticed they fixed a few other issues with the engine I didn’t even ask about. Larry is the man. Great Mercury parts availability and prices too.
If you are looking to sell your boat, stay far away from Southport Marine. Their complete failure to follow standard brokerage protocols directly cost me $5,000. After listing my boat with them, they found a buyer. However, they held back $10,000 in escrow, supposedly until the buyer completed a routine sea trial and engine check.
