I have had a few bad experiences with our local groomers here in Fairhope, so my search for someone new took me to South Paws Pet Spa. The owner Lynn Anderson was very friendly and accommodating. She also bathed, groomed, and cared for both my dogs with equal kindness and quality. I had gotten behind with both of my dogs needs. They both came back to me with beautiful cuts, nails nicely trimmed, and fresh breath! I will return here in the future for all my dogs needs. Do Not Take Your Dog Here!!! – I will never take may puppy back here again. I dropped him off for bath and puppy trim. I called twice to see if he was ready. Both times he was not ready. I went to pick him up when they FINALLY called. He eye was swollen shut and his fur was all matted. The owner said that a piece of skin got in his eye. Told me to take him to vet. DO NOT SEND YOUR PET HERE!!!!!! – My dog was shaved down to her skin, that left bloody and oozing patches on stomache, hind legs and tail. I was quoted a price of $65.0 and a possible $5.00 charge for matting (my dogs hair is not the type to have mats, not in 14 years). When I stated this to groomer, she said, "we are not going to break the bank. We are looking at about $5.00." I was surprised to pay $15.00 for a grand total of $80.00! BE AFRAID !!!!! BE VERY AFRAID!!!!!!! – This place is awful. The old lady that owns the place actually threw my toy poodle across the room when she finished grooming him. (she had no idea I was still there) Stay away for your dogs on good. The grooming wasnt very good either. It has been 3 months since I was there and my poor dog is still afraid of clippers and being brushed. He was never afraid of grooming before I took him to South Paws.
