We are having a very bitter experience with Simonds. My family was extremely happy when VMIA recommended building with Simonds after Porter Davies went into liquidation. We had high hopes for this company, but our dreams have been shattered because Simonds failed to deliver our home on time. The original handover date was in February, but even now, only 70% of the work is completed. Many areas remain unfinished, including electrical work, plumbing, plastering, tiling, and more. I took 9 months to even put a slab down, every other home in the estate whos land tittle at the same time is finished or close to. I wish I had went with Henley Homes, it was abit more expensive at the time but we would be in there by now. Do not use Simmonds go with one of the other big companies, it will save you time money and stress in the future. Every time I drive past to check progress there is nothing happening for weeks and months on end, they blame it on a shortage of trades but all the other homes have trades work... read more

Zero commitment to fix issues. One of the trades working on the Symonds built house next door damaged multiple fence posts, causing it to be unstable. Months of phone calls to rectify and still no response. When the June windstorm came through, the weakened fence fell, damaging our property and the adjoining gate. This finally made them organize to have the fence repaired. Promises were made to have the gate looked at/repaired, as it was on them to do so, and that they were going to supply paint to paint the replaced length ... read more

nearly 3 monhs late and still going. the house looks good but i must say, there is no consideration for struggling families when it comes to these guys. A single mother with 4 kids, struggling to build my dream home, but met with unexpeted bills with their delays. i have also been met by a cold and aloof customer relationship lady throughout the whole time, never picks the phone but prefers emails. really sad for such a big company with a bad seeds. i just hope i dont lose my house because of simmonds. what a shame

A builder from hell ! My experience is extremely bad and frustrating I signed a contract with them Feb-2022 My land was tittled on 27/04/2022 Since then nothing was done at site ! Even the slab is not poured! Customer service is the worst by far My first home dream is a nightmare with this builder from hell
