Stopped in to have an injury checked , nice nurse brought me in right away. Them I sat there with many others for three plus hrs. Not sure if there is a doctor on staff or is he across the road in the clinic. They tell you you have to wear a diaper on your face but 60 percent of the staff don't wear them at all or not proprely. Like many times in the past I just left as the receptionist said it would be a much longer wait.
Arrive 1130 am with wife's abdominal pain 430 pm send us to Stratford for CT scan back to exeter for results again wait in waiting room it's now 930 pm long day wouldn't recommend this never.Looks like a longer wait just for results.
I understand very well that healthcare can be tricky with wait times. We arrived at 2am and were waiting with one other person who decided to leave around 3am. 5:45am and still haven't talked to a single person. Perhaps they have good reasons, but I doubt it. The front desk staff in the emergency room seem incredibly indifferent, as if they are untouched by the pain and urgency others are experiencing. It's disheartening to see such a lack of empathy in a place meant to provide care and comfort.
My posting deals with an easily corrected defect. If you call the hospital for the South Huron Medical Centre or directly you will be put on hold indefinitely outside of normal hours. "Please hold. You are caller number...1". The response should be "Please hang up."
