This is the fifth time we've stayed and it keeps getting better! Even with COVID-19 we had an excellent stay. They really work to keep everyone safe and still have a great time. Cabin was excellent, clean and fully stocked with beer and wine, the meals were excellent as always. Staff was extremely attentive to requests and used PPE for all interactions. We used Andrew as a guide and had a great time on the water, his knowledge and expertise made the days fun and fast moving. We've already booked another trip for next May.
Great accommodations, wonderful gourmet meals with personable and knowledgeable fishing guides on the South Houston River in Tennessee. I have visited many Orvis endorsed lodges in the continental US and the South Houston River Lodge is one of the best.
Visit with these folks for what is undoubtedly the most incredible trout fishing & lodging experience east of the Mississippi!!
Stayed and fished with South Holston River Lodge last week. The accommodations are excellent. Clean, overly stocked with anything you might need and very private. The staff was attentive and found ways to meet our needs before we had the need! The fishing guides were awesome. Fished with a guide we have had before and also the owner. Both trips were full of fish and with guides who are personable and knowledgeable of the river and every fishing hole in it. Will absolutely stay and fish with them again!
Excellent guides, amazing staff, incredible food, wonderful accommodations....can't recommend SHRL enough.
Shout out to the crew at SHRL. Great fishing, great food, great lodging and even better people. Had a great two day trip - wish it was longer. Guides put us all on tons of fish and kept it fun. I will be back!
