Traveling around in the military, I have been to many veterinary hospitals. When we moved to our present home, I thought I would check out the hospital right around the corner -- it would be so convenient to have a vet so close! Dr. Gary Larson saw my cat and I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and his "bedside manner". That was 19 years ago. This hospital is the best! The staff at this office are very friendly. My son's cub scout den toured this facility and they did such a wonderful job explaining how the animals are cared for that we now take our pets here. The hospital and kennels are very clean. The only reason I didn't pick 5 stars is because we haven't been going there long enough to experience a major pet illness or situation.
The vets at So. Hill Hospital have taken care of my pets for over 15 years. My pets and I have never been treated with anything other than compassion. Over the years I have had numerous pets that have had to be "put to sleep". Everyone in the office from the receptionist to the doctors have treated my pets with loving care in their final hours. We found a stray outside our clinic this morning. An employee took it to the vet because it was in bad shape. $243 later it had to be put down. When we called to see if they could lower it due to us doing the humane thing and taking it in to them, charity case, etc. - they wouldn't budge on the price. No wonder people don't help out strays in need. Obviously this clinic is not a humane one with a generous attitude to animals in need. They only care about profit apparently.
