South Georgia Medical Center is a joke. We went to Urgent Care on N. Ashley and after seeing the severity of the issue, they told us to come to main SGMC to be seen as they have all this lab work and specialists that could diagnose and treat. They also told us to stress the severity and urgency of treatment. Upon arriving at main SGMC, They took our vitals and asked our signs and symptoms and if we’ve had issues before. After telling them yes and about being treated multiple times for the issue, We were rushed through Tria... read more

My husband had a heart cath at SGMC. While in the cath prep and recovery unit, he receive excellent care. Teressa Rice, RN, took care of him before and after the cath. He had heart pain afterwards; Ms Rice was quick to take action and notify the doctor. He was comfortable in just a few minutes. I want to commend Ms Rice for the care and concern for his welfare. Thank you SGMC for employees who care for the patients needs.

My mother in law was on 4W March 2nd and had a great experience. She was treated with kindness by all staff, from nursing, to housekeeping, to food services. Some of the staff were: Barbara, Julia, Anita, Sam, Beverly, Kayleigh, Gloria, Artum, Nia, Karen, Alexis. She didn't have much of an appetiteand they didn't give up trying to find something she would drink or eat! Thank you for all that you do for your patients!

just wanted to thank all the hospital staff at the same day surgery dept. I had a hernia procedure yesterday and the staff was excellent. A special shout out to Cheryl my post operation nurse. She was always checking on me and made me coffee. She is a true professional and an asset to SGMC. Special thanks to Dr. Retterbush Edward Blakeslee

Emergency ride to emergency room. First day was wonderful! They saved my life. Much needed help with test taken. Was suppost to be discharged next day around noon. The second day was a complete diabolical different experience. I was completely abandoned in the hospital room assigned to me. Finally I had to get help to get out of there. The perscriptions that was to be called into my pharmacy all disappeared and no records found! Staff palyed whack a mole with me. No help. Now at a primary time with my infection I have no an... read more

I would like to give 0 damn stars. This hospital is by far the worst damn hospital I ever stepped a foot in. You basically give them your own diagnosis. Plus my father was having a heart attack and was rushed from one facility to this one and then was placed in the er again instead of rushing to surgery like I was told. Now he passed away, thanks for taking my best friend.
