This wonderful Humane Society has come a long way in the past year. The Director, Jennifer Alcorn, has done an amazing job! She has transformed the shelter that is not only a great place for animals waiting for their forever homes but also has made it a really inviting place to visit. The entrance has been cleaned up and re-landscaped and even won an award for their hard work. The volunteers and staff are kind and love to help. The City of Brookings should be very proud of the South Coast Humane Society! I am!

We adopted a darling little boy today.. He was born April 4, 2018, and we named him Kona.
It is the cleanest Humane Society I have ever seen. Volunteers are wonderful and so helpful.. Wonderful place, even if you just want to "visit". 😊
Cleanest and most organized shelter I've ever been inside. All the dogs were happy and the cats were so friendly. Very well run facility.
they are loving to animals and very sweet. A lot of wonderful people volunteer. The volunteers are what makes it what it is.
Thank goodness for Jenifer Alcorn and the many volunteers that save these sweet babies!
