My daughter doesn’t like the instructors here. I was told they yell and are mean. She had a bad head ache and wanted to call me to come home and they would not allow it. I will never bring my daughter back.
My two children attended camp at SBAD for one week during the summer. My biggest regret was not booking more weeks. My son, aged 5 (who I was worried wouldn’t be able to sit still), learnt so much about different artistic methods. SBAD focus on a different topic/theme each day so the children have plenty of time to be creative and really think about what they would like to make. I have been taking the adult abstract painting class for about two now. I absolutely LOVE this place. Terri, the owner and our teacher for this course, is fabulous! She meets each student where he or she is; that is, if you come in with zero experience as I did, she works with you individually on the basics and helps you progress from there. Excellent art school for kids AND adults. Also great kids camps. Cant say enough good stuff about Terri and Sarah, the owners/art teachers. Just a really wonderful environment where your child - or you - can grow as an artist!
Adult painting class is very fun and inspiring, you can get as much or little instruction or support that you want which makes it a good environment for beginners and more seasoned learners 😊
