After braces the prior orthodontist had cemented a wire retainer on my daughter's lower teeth that caused gum issues. We went back to have the wire removed at the recommendation of her dentist. The new orthodontist removed the wire retainer and charged $260 for a replacement retainer. We had already paid $3,200 for our care, which was to include everything related to the braces and retainers. I called to see about a refund and they were going to talk to the orthodontist. A big thank you to Dr. Lauren Hagel and everyone at Fairwood Orthodontics! Getting braces as an adult can seem like a daunting process, however everyone made it a smooth process. Dr. Lauren is professional, approachable, and truly listens to her patients.

It is important to always seek a second opinion, especially when it comes to medical procedures. In my experience, my son was recommended to get braces at the age of 9, which I later found out is not the recommended age by most professionals. After the first round of braces, my son was told his teeth were fine and just needed a retainer. However, when he stopped wearing the retainer, his teeth began to shift again. Nothing bad to say. Braces for 2 kids, never had an issue before or after the practice being sold. Same staff, same service even the surprise visits when a wire broke or came loose. I really appreciate the reminders of the upcoming appointments especially when I'd forget to put them on the calendar.
