Myself and my girlfriend came in hoping to open a checking account today. We're new residents of Washington State, though we both have licenses and are in possession of our signed lease. Apparently, that wasn't enough for Sound CU, who demanded that we both have in-state licenses AND have our car registered in WA before we bank with them - as if I can just sit around and wait a month to have a place to deposit money. I will happily take my business elsewhere; this negative review? You more than earned it.
Just got a loan from here. Took 2 weeks to get a online account, then finally learn it's another account I have to make to send them payments for my loan... make a account for that and they charge a $5.00 fee to take a payment they damn well get interest on anyways? Uh no... will be refinancing with another bank soon. This bank is horrible. Stay away.

Sound credit union tumwater branch is very friendly. They go above and beyond to make sure you have all needs met. It’s unfortunate they are moving. I hope their new digs are amazing
