I visited Soul Love Salon with my mom and sister-in-law for bridal hair and makeup in September 2023. While Katie and Danny were kind, the experience was extremely disappointing. Katie Elder is an absolutely amazing stylist who you can trust to understand your style and hair needs while ensuring you never have boring hair. Great shop with well chosen clothing and accessories in a very lovely and comfortable setting.
I had a very strange experience. Came in for a consultation for bangs and Daniel decided to quickly cut it which was fine. But the bangs ended up extremely thick and he cut too much. Too far back and too wide. Just overall ruined. And he said he prefers to cut long hair literally against the female clients breasts to make sure it falls right. So that was very uncomfortable. Bit confused by a recent phone interaction with this salon. I called to ask if they had any stylists that can do a braid down. Please note I was not calling to ask for a squeeze-in appointment nor did I mention one, just if they had any stylists on staff that could do this specific service. Whoever I spoke to on the phone said “It’s just me and my wife here, and we’re really swamped. And I don’t do braids.” And ended the call.
