This review reflects my personal opinion and direct experience as a parent involved in the case. I made the mistake of agreeing to have Sam Sorensen appointed as our Guardian ad Litem. In my experience, his representation of my children was deeply disturbing and, in my view, extremely harmful. Be VERY careful when considering hiring Sam Sorensen. The amount of damage he did while working as a Guardian Ad-Litem for my kids is only now being undone after a year. He refused interviews, updates and was negligent in trying to determine what’s best for the kids. Luckily, as soon as he resigned from the case, things turned around and my kids are safe and happy.

This one star review is for PGAL, Sam Sorensen. Overcharged for rediculous items, and added no value. Minimal effort to collect a check, and poor judgement. In the end, God knows. Thank heavens for Anna Trupp, our custody evaluator. She came through for us in the end. Think about a custody evaluator over a PGAL, is my recommendation. Especially if you have parents on the other side involved in various versions of substance abuse. Going through a divorce, especially with children, is difficult and overwhelming. Sam and his team were professional, knowledgeable, reasonable, and always kept my daughter at the forefront of all conversations. His paralegal, Amanda, is incredible. I highly recommend Sam. I was given his name by a family member that had used his services. This family member spoke highly of Sam, so I decided I should see if Sam were right for me.
