Reading some of Dr. Lang's reviews, I can't help but wonder if this person has two personalities. I found him to be callous and insensitive. He seemed to have little regard for my well being and left me with the feeling that he would be the last person I would want operating on me.
He compassion and ability to listen to his patient is outstanding. Not only did he explain the procedure and addresss all concerns, but did in a way that it was comprehensible to the average person. He a fine surgeon and I would highly recommend him

Eventually, most of us will find ourselves in an operating room for one reason or another. If you're lucky, your surgical procedure will be performed by a dedicated professional whose primary concern is to restore your health while incurring as little trauma as possible. If you're LESS fortunate, you'll end up with someone like Dr. Lang who brings another agenda into the O.R. : his need to entertain his colleagues with your prostrate and defenceless form, regardless of the emotional cost to you.
Although Dr. Lang is a competent enough surgeon, he seems to have lost sight of the fact that he's a physician, and not a comedian...an important distinction if you're his patient, unconscious and exposed, in a room among strangers. He also seems to have forgotten what all physicians learn at the beginning: First, do no harm.
Regret is not what you want to experience following surgery, but this is the position I find myself in. I chose to place my faith in Dr. Lang, and now I must try to live with that misguided and unfortunate decision.
Today Dr. Lang seen my five year old son and he was absolutely great. I believed everything he said and trusted his expertise in medicine. He seemed very concerned and willing to give us all possible options for my son. I like this doctor becuase he seemed like he really cared about his patients.
He saved my life my freshman year of high school when my appendix ruptured and they found and neurocrine tumor (rare) then recently i had a tumor or cyst in my back and he removed it while I was awake and left a small scar. Thank you for all you do Lang
