My wife entrusted her dream dress to Katherine which, unfortunately, was a mistake. After alterations Katherine had taken in the dress too much, cut out all excess fabric so it couldn’t be taken out again and altered the neckline which we never asked for. My wife ended up being forced to buy a completely different dress and we were out a little over $3k on this dress that now just hangs in our closest, never worn.
I held off on posting this review for three years because it was just such a terrible experience that I didn’t want to think about it but after seeing a post on Reddit of someone with a similar experience I think I should warn others. I took my wedding dress here months ahead of the date, plenty of time for alterations. After a few sessions of alterations my dress was not looking quite the same. Unless you want to pay for a wedding dress, alterations, cleaning and then more alterations to fix the mess this business makes out of dresses, DON’T GO HERE. They are clearly deleting reviews and not good at taking accountability. Unfortunately I have seen the outcome of what this “seamstress” does and it is not worth the headache.
Worst experience ever. I brought my $4.5k wedding dress to her for a hem, french bustle and to sew on some off the shoulder sleeves. First of all the bustle and sleeves were sewed on showing the stitching ON THE OUTSIDE. One of the sleeves popped off after immediately trying it on and I have to remove them and resew them on myself so you couldn’t see stitching on the outside…. That’s not even the worst of it. I ordered my wedding dress online, so I knew I would need alterations for the perfect fit. I heard about this lovely lady owned business through my now mother-in-law, and what a wonderful experience!! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and super accommodating with my busy schedule. She had my dress done in 3 weeks, and it was absolutely PERFECT.
