Very discriminatory! I had a very disappointing experience at Sophie’s. When I arrived, the staff at the counter refused to help me. I decided to go to the kiosk, but as soon as white customers came in, they greeted them warmly and offered assistance. They immediately helped the person that came in after me and then took care of the two people who followed. I was looking forward to lunch here, but unfortunately my experience ruined my appetite. While preparing the food, I watched an employee dumping plantains into the hot serving tray. A piece fell onto the counter—the same surface they had been wiping down with a wet towel—and instead of discarding it, the employee picked it up and put it back into the serving tray that customers are served from. Very unsanitary!!
