Dr. Shakur was wonderful. She was kind and polite and seemed to truly care. She was precise in her plans for me and for my surgery. She took time to completely understand my situation and also took time to completely explain the surgery and all it entails. I'm impressed and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism from this office, starting from incorrectly transcribing my contact information which resulted in delays in care, to now cancelling, last minute, what would have been my first appointment. The next available appointment is over 6 months from the time of my referral and after frequent communication with your office, I am unable to reach staff with the ability to not only take accountability but correct the mistake.
Dr. Shakur is a very dedicated and experienced neurosurgeon. I felt very safe and at ease under her care.
