Logged and under construction. They have cleared the trees. The point is deforested and under construction, and the only trees standing are the new ones they planted. The mature trees that were already here did not need to come down. The now owners wanted this land for years before they got it, and then took it down. It matters where this is. Beautiful views from the room, wonderful hiking trails (walk to them). Our room was very small, tiny refrigerator.

This was a somewhat disappointing experience. I specifically chose this hotel as the destination for my birthday trip because I was attracted by the breathtaking, unobstructed ocean views advertised by the hotel. I had hoped to spend my birthday surrounded by beautiful ocean scenery, so I paid CAD $976 for two nights in a Pacific View room.
