I dropped off my Color Guard uniform on a Tuesday morning. It was clearly stated that clothes dropped off would be completed the next Monday. I wrote on the bag that I had a color guard ceremony on Saturday and it would be greatly appreciated if it could be done on Friday not expecting to have it. I received a text message the next afternoon that my uniform is ready. Clearly someone at SonShine went above and beyond to ensure I can help guard our nations colors this weekend. Thank you!
Do not drop your dry cleaning off if you want it back. The business hours are impossible. I’ve tried to arrange pick up and no communication back. Today i finally got communication that an attendant would be available from 11-1 so I rearranged my entire day off when I was supposed to leave to go out of town. Got here and no one is here/no one is answering. The worse service I’ve ever received. I would not have paid $60 to dry cleaning a $300 comforter if I would have known I wouldn’t be able to get it back. Now I leave to go... read more
Convenient once you understand how it works but confusing and a bit pricey. I took my daughters toddler ballet costume and hair bows to be cleaned and pressed. 40.00, YIKES! They definitely got the cheese popcorn stain out but as far as pressing, for the cost, I still felt like pieces of her dress were turned upward. Just want to take a minute to pump up a local business that is totally awesome to deal with. Sonshine Dry Cleaners is 100% fantastic. Please support this local business. Filled a HUGE need in the community and provides awesome work and wonderful service. I have been lost since Varsity Cleaners closed a few years ago. These guys are great. AND their automatic pick-up/drop-off system is amazingly convenient!! Super people!! North Liberty and Walden Plaza in Iowa City!
I just want to say that my experience with Sonshine Dry Cleaners has been an absolute blessing! Our washing machine flooded our house and we haven't been able to do laundry for over a week. I reached out to Phoebe and her team, and they provide the most wonderful wash and fold laundry service! I drop it off, and when I get it back, it's washed, dried and folded nicely in a bag, and all I have to do is put it away! ❤️ In this super stressful time, this has been a fantastic blessing and completely stress free.
