I literally love it! The portions are amazing and the food is hearty! Not to mention the sauce! I absolutely love the garlic yogurt sauce! It goes really well with the lamb and vegtables!!
I've been a LONG TIME customer of yours but at these increased prices, not so much anymore! Just ridiculous- really sad
I came across Son's Döner in 2025 when our exchange student made a trip there with their program liaison. Ever since then we make a stop there on our way to/from Savannah or whenever we crave the German-Turkish dish. We live in Augusta, so yes, we will take 1.5 hour drive for Son's Döner, which has been Statesboro's Best Gyro since 2020!!! The owner is super friendly and speaks German and it's always a pleasure speaking with him. It's a little bit of home every time we visit. Very happy to have this gem close by!
Beyond impressed with this restaurant, food is always amazing and fresh. One of the best cheat meal places I've ever eaten at, and staff are always extraordinary. I've ordered dozens of times, my favorite plate is the #8. Absolutely have to try if you're visiting/in Statesboro!!
