Best pasta made to order ever. Atmosphere is straight beach: flip flops strongly encouraged. Staff is friendly, the menu extensive, and everything ROCKS. Be prepared to wait if you're there after 4:30 -- the locals know the good stuff and are always back for more.
Sonny's is the BEST! Me and my family LOVE LOVE LOVE coming to Sonny's. The food is just out of this world! The staff is just the friendliest that there can be. The atmosphere is just that of a nice cozy Italian bistro. We go there as much as possible. No other Italian food in this area really even comes close to Sonny's.
San Clemente Locals Love Sonny's – I've been going to Sonny's for years and it never dissapoints me. My favorite pizza is the Margarita pizza. Anything with Sonny's sauce on it is a winner and of course I love the free soda refills. Jeans and a t-shirt are the requirements for dress and flip flops are a must.
Great Italian! – Sonny's has been a favourite of my husand's and myself since 1994 when we used to live in San Clemente. Now we make the trek back often to enjoy the excellent Italian food! The pizza is outstanding, the pasta incredible, the wine selection outstanding! Plus, the atmosphere is romantic! (But also good for family-style dining as well!) Sometimes there is a wait on weekends, but that is worth it! Check out this San Clemente hot-spot for the best Italian around!
