I have always found Sonny's BBQ on S.R. 60, in Vero Beach to be a good dining experience.The food is always good, decent salad bar. Servers are always pleasant. They always offer an Ice Tea to go to the working guys at lunch. I don't have one bad thing to say.
We ate here once, and were not very pleased with the food. It's supposedly a big BBQ chain, so shouldn't their specialty be BBQ? We got the mixed platter so we could try everything. The meat was very dry and bland. The ribs were extremely fatty with little meat on them. The corn on the cob was mushy. I can't really remember the prices. The quantity was nice, though, and so was the service. I don't think we will be stopping into another Sonny's any time soon.
