I would give negative stars. After diagnosing, on the telephone, that my husband's liver had not decompensated, even though I said I thought it had, she finally agrees to see him, and—like I said— she says, "It has." Then she tells this means he needs a transplant, but his meld score is too good for transplant, so, as soon as it dips, he'll be brought in. Dr Olsen is exceptional and very empathetic. She is a gem in the medical community.
Hard to get a hold of. Doesn't follow up with patents. One day she decided to leave the NYU Langone and that was that. Had to find a different liver doctor on my own. Stay Away.
I can't give enough stars for Dr. Olsen. I have never met a more skilled, kind, and compassionate physician. Not only is she clinically superior to any other physician I have worked with before, she genuinely cares. I am so grateful to have found her.
