Had Nelson come out to discuss a project and was feeling very positive about working with him. Then, he completely ghosted me. Never received my quote, never received a response to me reaching out. The arrogance and disrespect of wasting my time needs to be called out.
I don't normally do this although felt it was important to let people know about this company. First the owner Nelson is very nice and promises the best outcome. Reality is he is not nice in fact very disrespectful, especially to women once the project is underway. Finds excuses for poor workmanship and why he can't do something correctly. And the workmanship is not good, not even close. Definitely not worth the aggravation. No stars.
We recently had our bathroom floor replaced, and we couldn't be happier with the results! From beginning to end, Nelson and his team were professional, punctual, and communicative. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality home renovations!
Our flat roof developed a leak. Sonin constructed a deck on the roof 2 years ago. We asked several times for them to come look at it. Morgan reminded me that the work was out of warranty, and we would have to pay for any repairs. We okayed that, and were told Nelson would come to look at the issue. Still no follow through.
Sonin Construction built an open air front porch and an enclosed, heated rear porch for our home. Nelson, the owner, has excellent craftsman and workers on his staff. They take pride in their work and are courteous. Nelson does a great job coordinating with the City of Chicago for permit inspections, which due to the City's backlog on available inspection dates, can normally really slow down the execution of a project.
