For the price, the hotel is perfect. Not too far from Newport and beds and room are clean. I can see people may rate this hotel lower because photos give the impression its a courtyard marriott type of hotel (I believe because it was) but it looks like it was abandoned a few years and just reopened with only cleaning the surfaces and changing the sheets on the plan. Things are dated and aged and less up to date- it’s still a wonderful stay.
I was skeptical with previous old reviews but pleasantly surprised! My room was updated and very clean. My bed was super comfortable. There were extra pillows & blankets for the pullout, along with a clean bathroom. There's ample parking & elevator along with secure entrance for guests. My kids also enjoyed the indoor pool. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for the first time and we loved sherry at the front desk! She was so kind from check in and greeted us every time we came and left. Most importantly when we had an unfortunate situation with our room she was empathetic and accommodating! She made out stay thanks sherry!
First impressions great looking hotel, but after you book through booking.com then arrive and see an either intoxicated or highly inebriated woman that checked us in. It was nearly 3am check in process took about 45 mins. Then we paid for deluxe king with balcony we did not stay in the room we paid for. This stay was for overnight - 1 night.
