I went for my consultation yesterday at the Sona Med Spa in Midlothian VA. I will admit I was 100% nervous about going and didn't know if I wanted to cancel or not because I was scared of being pressured into something that I couldn't afford, but it was the complete opposite! They have no idea what they are doing with Coolsculpting. I had 4 areas treated over 10 months ago. The fat cells they claim they froze and killed and would continue to pass out of my system for 6 months not only did not leave my body, but plumped up instead leaving those areas bloated. They have no follow thru on their patients to see how they are doing and you never see an actual doctor. I did not eat more after the treatments. In fact I ate less so other areas would not pick up the fat the ones supposedly leaving my body ... read more

Awful since corporate bought this practice back. Dr. Young no longer works for Sona but you can go see him and the staff at Rejuvenation Day Spa for a much better experience. Dr. Young's injections are perfection.

Not good with patients of color. After expressing my concern for hair loss and severe shedding for a year Dr. Pillimer stated he wasn’t concerned it was probably related to a life event such as grief and loss, surgery etc. LOL haven’t had any of those in the past year. I think I would know best. For ANY DOCTOR to tell a patient they are NOT CONCERNED with the patients concerns is unprofessional. Dr. Pillimer also asked how often I could wash my hair and felt the need to tell me he could wash his hair every day. Who cares... read more

I have had a good experience with this location but my most recent experience has left such a sour taste in my mouth. I came to sona in 2011 and was treated with the yag laser. I suffer from an endocrine issue and had to come back for treatment in 2016 due to the return of hair on my face. This time they let me know they have a soprano diode laser and not the yag laser. I was hesitant to spend over $3,000 for something I had no prior experience with and hadn't heard about, but they had delivered in the past so I went for it.... read more

I could give you a bunch of reasons. They over charge for their product, they don't do a great job, they debited a greater amount then was contracted. The final straw however was when I arrived to my 1:40 appointment I found the building doors locked. I called the front office and they said the doors of the building lock at noon. When I asked how I am suppose to get in the building, the receptionist responded - it did not matter since they were cancelling my appointment.
