I was very hesitant and apprehensive about seeing a new cardiologist due to change in health insurance; however, our first visit Dr. Sam was amazing! Exceeded my expectations (which are high). He took his time with my daughter and thoroughly educated both of us. During the echo he explained what he was looking at in each image as to what was normal or abnormal, same with her EKG. I would feel bad if I didn’t let potential patients know that he’s the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered.
My teenage daughter was referred to Dr "Sam" after an irregular EKG over a year ago. All of his staff is super friendly and made her feel comfortable from the beginning, which isn't easy with her. Dr Sam always has a smile and does a great job of getting to know his patients. He genuinely wants to know what they're up to. We always felt as though we were the only ones in his office and he took time to explain things and answer any questions, even answering questions we didn't think to ask. Friendly staff. Dr. Sam really shows that he cares about your child. Kind bedside manner. Made my daughter at ease.
The pinkie on my left hand was broken. Despite my objections, he put a plaster cast, to my elbow, on. When it was 20 minutes past my appointment time, I told the receptionist who immediately replied that I would have to reschedule. No “Gee. I’m sorry.” No empathy. Nothing. Just annoyance. When I saw Dr. Milligan’s PA, I told her about it. She said, “I’m sorry you took it that way.” I asked how I was supposed to take it. Doctor Alkul has been the Best Doctor for my 2 children here in Lubbock. First, I was taking my children to a White man Doctor at UMC. He wasn't available anytime, I called for emergency visit for my kids. That happened 3 or 4 times and a friend advised me to take my kids to Doctor Alkul. I have been with him since 5 years now. He is always available anytime I call for a non appointment visit. Doctor Alkul is a "Great Doctor" I never seen in Lubbock. Thank you Alkul for all your great services. We went to Star ER and they said to consul Dr Molligen. The nurse at his consulted him him about our situation. We were to told to go to a real ER with Real surgeons. So we did just to be told that it needs a consult and their office would accept us since Dr Molligen would not. Horrible experience.
