Great programming, great staff, an asset to the city! Park & rec has improved a lot in the last ten years, check them out if you haven’t in a while.

Not enough clinics/recreational stuff for teenagers. They were better years ago.
My family has been involved with all the wonderful employees of Somerville Recreation for at least 7 years- from Tot Time to Somertime Day program to many of their awesome camps: basketball, tennis, canoe, art etc etc. I have personally worked closely with Alicia Querusio, Jeremy Vallesio and Ryan Chambers. These 3 individuals (amongst many others) have been nothing but professional, compassionate and empowering. Very friendly staff and well designed summer programs for kids. My daughter enjoyed her time with the teachers and the various crafts and activities there.
