*Renter Beware!* I can't imagine having a worse company take over your lease when you already live somewhere. My finance and I had a penthouse with them, and during our last two months the roof started to leak, they would not return phone calls or emails during that 60 days. We ended up filing an insurance claim to replace our lost goods, and then Somerset is suing us for the damage. Worst property management company I have ever dealt with. Moved out of one of their properties without owing anything. 3 years later they show up on my credit as an eviction! After several attempts from my lawyer, the BBB, and myself to get in contact with them they have ignored all attempts! Upon filing for an apartment and getting declined based off of somerset and their false reporting, they were quick to answer a phone call from this property to state inaccurate reporting. DO NOT sign with them unless you want to be LIED TO and SCAMMED. I was promised that my water bill would be capped off at $35 and in the middle of my lease they changed that and claimed that it was nowhere written on my lease. Cheap shot. Brixworth does not have individual meters per apartment so they use a formula to guess how much water you use. I live alone but added someone to my lease for legal purposes (when I leave the country) and Brixworth has been charging me for water for two occupants for months without telling m... read more
You can be sure you are not a priority as a tenant and will be ignored by management. Management has a skewed sense of ethics, is often unreachable and will not properly staff its local properties.
