(Cindy Mullins) We placed my dad in memory care at Summerfield just 4 weeks ago. I looked at facilities both here in Encinitas area and in Tennessee, where I live. We immediately felt comfortable with the management staff and each caregiver we have met. All are kind, well trained in dementia/memory care and attentive to our questions and concerns. My dad is adjusting well and we are resting better knowing that he is well cared for. I highly recommend Summerfield of Encinitas,
My wife has only been there a short while but the food is very good, the staff is good and caring and we love being able to walk outdoors. The floors and the rooms are constantly being cleaned.
Summerfield is a great facility with a friendly, caring staff. They truly care about your loved ones and stay connected with them individually. The facility is very bright and very clean. Nice enclosed outdoor space for sunny day strolls. Wonderful daily activities are offered to all residents along with special fun offsite mini field trips. Living quarters are comfortable and clean. Great healthy meals Summerfield cares very much about their patients. I would highly recommend.
Dementia is never easy. Knowing my Mother is safe and well taken care of gives me peace of mind. There have been recent changes to Summerfield that give me confidence of more engagement with activities and day trips. The Activities Director, Lexy and assistant Bailey are full of great ideas and also open to suggestions. Family is encouraged to join on the day trips and invited to fun events like football tailgate or March Madness, come in for an activity, the schedule is on an app for your phone.
