Loved the seafood pancake and oyster mushroom soup! It's a pretty small intimate place. I recommend making reservation at the Temple records, which is next door, to grab drinks afterwards. They are connected and there is also a Japanese restaurant downstairs. They let us walk over to the Temple records through back door since we were already having dinner there. Both places are really nice and cute. Servers were very friendly as well.
The food was really delicious. Our beef dumplings were fantastic. The banchan were varied and some of them were seriously tasty. The drinks were delicious, fun, and very Korean themed. The seabass was a bit underwhelming but the other dishes of pork and noodles made up for it. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Somaek Korean. The staff kindly prepared a complimentary dish for us and gave us a thoughtful anniversary card, which was a lovely surprise. Those personal touches made our evening even more memorable. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive throughout the entire meal. We truly appreciated the care and kindness from the team.
Service was kind and fast. They were generous with the banchan (which I wish I was a fan of) I just think compared to other Korean spots in Boston this one ranks a little lower. Great vibes though! Pork bulgolgi was yummy! The jajangmyeon was okay and lacked flavor in my opinion. Steak tartare was very good!
Very plain restaurant inside but tasty menu and cocktails, good authentic korean experience on a reasonable price point. Served family style, so dishes come out as they’re done
