I stopped by Solon Feed Mill not sure if they even carried what I needed. The owner checked, said they didn't, and gave me directions to another shop where I might find it. Then he asked how many I needed. I said one, and he handed me about six from his own personal supply and refused to take any money. Rare kindness. Five stars.

At their retail store, there is great selection of dog food, cat food, and house brand custom blended bird food. They also have a wide variety of high quality wood pellets for smoking food or burning in pellet stoves for a clean and fragrant fire. For the kitchen, there is a nice collection of spices, rubs, salsas, and sauces. Fast friendly service.

I go there for bird seed. Good place to buy it in bulk. They do charge a convenience fee if you use a credit card so bring cash if you want to be spared that.
