Our family has been nothing but thrilled with Dr. Solem and the team. We switch from our initial ortho office in Walnut Creek. We had a special circumstance...my kid required frequent MRIs for cancer treatment. the other office was pushing Invisalign and it wasn't good fit for him. He loses everything within 10 seconds of touching it. Dr Solem came up with a solution for us...he suggested ceramic braces and removing the wire plus necessary brackets before the MRIs then replacing them after. My daughter loves it here. She looks forward to all her appointments. Very kid friendly and great staff. Also very contemporary and you get to see cool 3d scans of your teeth.
Our friends recommended Dr Solem and we are so glad they did! We did several consults with other local orthodontists - the other practices felt like salespeople- I felt like I could not trust whether they were attempting to constantly upsell us, or if they’d recommend interventions we didn’t actually need. We’re currently in the middle of our oldest child’s process with braces. We went with Solem Orthodontics in Pleasant Hill and we're very happy with the decision. Dr. Solem and his staff are friendly and communicative and after the initial visit my daughter was perfectly comfortable there. They’re also very accommodating, when my daughter inevitably breaks a wire (probably eating something she shouldn’t…) they squeeze her in on short notice to fix it.
