We stayed overnight at Solbakken Resort on Lake Superior and had an amazing experience.. Waking up to the beautiful lakeside scenery and peaceful views was truly special. The service was excellent and the staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay... The resort also has great indoor board gaming facilities and a relaxing sauna, which made the stay even more enjoyable... Everything was clean, comfortable and well maintained. They literally cancelled our 3 day house rental while we were 4 hours into an 8 drive to ski. 8 people with no where to stay. They blamed computer problems. I’m calling BS. Horrible service. They sold the house AND the people already moved in. Inexcusable.
We had a rough experience with freezing pipes, but Tracey made everything right. Maintenance guy was useless though. Zero stars for him. 5 stars only due to Tracey.
A fun, affordable stay for a quick getaway up north. Game room that we happend to have to ourselves for the night and a big charming christmas tree was a plus.
Rustic old-style Minnesota cabins within steps of Lake Superior. Cabins and quite inexpensive motel units that are large with kitchenette. Everyone gets incredible views of the lake and can hear the waves come ashore. The main building offers a comfortable place to read, play pool or board games, or just sit by the roaring fore during winter.
