Solartherm energy efficient solar pool heating panels are the modern alternative to strip matting (the rubber tubes that take up most of a roof). They extend your swim season by removing the wind chill factor. The rubber tubes are coiled tightly and enclosed in High Density Polyethylene making them wind and cockatoo proof. Hi Dave, Thanks for recently providing new polycarbonate covers, after 8-9 years and numerous severe hailstorms, the covers finally suffered a few holes. There were no leaks or other damage. My insurance company wanted to replace the whole system because they didn’t have an accredited installer which I wouldn’t have any part of. The covers were simple to replace. I’ve watched my neighbors have whole rubber mat and tube systems replaced numerous times in this period through hail damage. So glad we went with Solartherm!. The s... read more
