Comparing peony root orders from several different US growers, Solaris quality is outstanding. Always fresh, healthy, generously-sized divisions. Always packaged with great care. Responsive, expert customer service, too. We look forward to ordering more roots from Solaris in 2026 and highly recommend them to everyone.
I bought 4 tree peonies and planted them as directed last fall. All 4 have come up. One is actually blooming! Not even one year in the ground! So beautiful.
Make sure you check their refund policy before you buy! I ordered a peony in April, the total was $73.10 They decided not to deliver it until October. I moved in August and cancelled the order, requesting a refund. They refunded 39.00 , charging 35% for restocking, and did not refund the $13.10 shipping and handling fees. This was all spelled out in their cancellation policy, so I have no recourse. My bad for ordering from them in the first place.
I ordered a pink fern leaf peony, extremely hard to find, early this year. It came in the mail a week ago and after briefly checking out the peat moss bag I put it aside to plant later. Today, with the coming rain, I decided to get planting. As a professional gardener I have to say the root quality was superb. The number of eyes on the crown was just amazing.
