***UPDATE*** After all sorts of woes, including replacing the LG unit in question it turned out the cause of the problem was a miniscule hole in the copper tubing that holds the refridgerant under pressure. The Solar Hub guys have been very staunch and continued to help us well outside the warranty period. Tim, from SolarHub in Canberra, replaced all the copper tubing and we now have a "fully operational" air conditioning unit.
