We've had our cover for nearly a year now. Initially HOA demanded a solution to our inactive pool and thank goodness for Solar Safe helping us to resolve that. Currently it is filled with water, though not in use until repairs can be made. Our pool has a grotto, a lot of curves to its shape, as well as a spa, so it was quite a feat that the cover fits so nicely. The installers did a great job! I purchased my Solar Safe pool cover in 2016 to hibernate my pool in the winter and avoid leaves and other debris from getting into my pool. I typically install the cover in October and remove it in April, so it's not used during this hottest part of the year. I have been very happy with the durability of the cover to have lasted 9 years, although I have tried to take care of it by having it cleaned and conditioned by Solar Safe every few years. We had the heat saver model installed a couple weeks ago, so this review is early in its lifespan. So I can't really comment on its durability, but the material does seem a little fragile. So time will tell. The installation process was very smooth and the installers were great. The pool cover looks very sharp. No complaints there. One minor point is that I don't find the covers as easy to put on or take off as implied. I'd recommend making sure you have lots of space beside the pool to maneuver. Had my pool cover installed of April 2025. Very courteous and professional people. Did an excellent job of installing my pool cover and walked me through the process of removing and installing it, very helpful. They also came out again to condition it after I closed my pool for the season. Highly recommend Solar Safe Pool Covers.
