This "company" is a nightmare. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! I was contracted as a 1099 sales person in 2024 by their partner company Greenway Energy Solutions (Dan Rommerman) to bring in sales. I was assured that this was a company with experience in the Illinois Shines program and that they has all that they needed to take care of their customers and professional in-house install teams. While we are happy with our solar, we had delays getting it installed due to them not getting proper permitting with the village of Swansea. They used an umbrella company to pull the permit because they didn’t have the required certification through the village of Swansea. After installation it’s been a headache with all the SHINE rebate program. We had to pay to pay $1300 unexpectedly to receive our rebate when our contract stated they were expected to pay it. All in all a positive experience. No company comes close to offering the solar technology that Solar City STL provides, and at a competitive price that makes sense. They are all great folks who care about the customer, and know their stuff. They will work with you to make you happy. Be advised that Solar City STL seems to be a very small family ran company, so you will have some headaches along the way with organizational related things (scheduling, paper work, contacting, etc.). Answered all my questions about solar and performed an amazing install. Much more knowledgeable and flexible than the other solar companies I contacted. They also helped me out a lot when I worked with the energy company to make sure they were recording the correct amount of energy produced. Highly recommend.
