I’m writing this review to warn others about my recent experience with this solar company. My family was scammed out of $200 by one of their representatives. The salesperson came to our home and offered to clean one of our solar panels. He took payment upfront, promised to return to complete the job, and never came back. Despite multiple attempts to contact him, he stopped responding completely. What makes this situation especially upsetting is that my parents are elderly and was taken advantage of. I chose Advantage Roofing for my roof replacement because of the excellent experience I had with Solar Advantage. Jose and Julia were so friendly, patent and response. Once the roof replacement was complete the finished product looked great! However, upon closer inspection and with having an eye for perfection, I noticed some spots of tar on the paint of the house and paver driveway. We had our solar panels installed in 2019. The installation process was smooth, and we’ve been happy with them for the most part. However, getting support from solar advantage has been extremely difficult since. We’ve had multiple errors resulting in one or both inverters completely ceasing to work. The first time they were able to resolve for us. Since then, we’ve had to pay out of pocket for other servicers to come fix each time. I received quotes from four different solar companies. All four of them did solar panel layout designs for my roof. Solar Advantage was the most professional across the board, and was the only company that chose a panel layout that didn't put panels in places that are shaded 50% of the day. Their estimates on costs to recuperate my investment were the most conservative, assuming a 6% annual increase in the cost of a kilowatt vs the other three companies that assumed 8%-10%.
