Awning in my bedroom was installed in July 2024. It has never worked. The battery does not charge and Sol Lux does not know what is wrong. You would think that they would install another working awning and remove this awning. They are being very polite but the awning is still not working. Believe me, this awning is not cheap. Think twice before buying.

I had the misfortune of buying these Sol Lux awnings. I have had nothing but problems since they were installed. 1. The app is slow and unpredictable. You have to try a few times before it connects to the awning. Right now I can't connect to the awnings because they are out of battery. I live in Florida, we have a lots of sun. They are supposed to be solar. 2. If your windows are tall, the awning will only cover 1/3 of the window. You will need curtains. 3. These awnings are expensive. Product is Great! But I'm changing my review to a 1 star because of bad service & unresponsive when you need help. And you will need help at some point.
I ordered 3 awnings for my West-facing side of the house, and they worked beautifully for the first year. Then toward the end of the first year all 3 units had connectivity issues with the app. By the next Summer, all 3 units were dead and no longer charging. I was annoyed but not panicked at this point because each unit had a 5 year warranty. The contractor that installed them was no longer in business, so I attempted to contact Sol Lux directly.
