Dr. Sokoll has a difficult time with order and process in terms of regular scheduling of required appointments for medication needs. It is a constant struggle to gain a consistent schedule to ensure that our child gets the care needed.
Dr. Sokoll combines his extensive knowledge and empathetic bed side manner and treats each one of his patients with respect and thoroughness. He has a great deal of experience treating a variety of psychiatric conditions and seems to have an exceptional understanding of psychopharmacology. He is kind and soft spoken in his approach and professional. He listens to understand his patients and explains things in a patient manner. He is the best!
It had been a challenge to find a psychiatrist that my son felt comfortable with as he has felt rushed and unheard during appointments with previous providers. However, during the initial session with Dr. Sokoll, my son immediately felt at ease. Dr. Sokoll took his time in getting to know my son and his challenges. Terrible; Mis-diagnosed me; prescribed medication that didnt help and had tons of side effects; wouldnt respond to calls and e-mails about discontinuing medication; only cared about getting paid; was nasty when I told him I wasnt happy with the treatment I was getting. Stay away from this man.
