Very disappointed with my recent experience with Soho Salon. I called to book a haircut for my daughter and was told they would not take her because she is under 6, based on an assumption that children her age don’t have the attention span to sit still. I found that unfair and unhelpful, especially because my daughter has had many haircuts before with no issues and is very mature for her age — she turns 6 in October. I have been going to Soho Salon for years, and I can honestly say this is the place to go. The staff are always warm and friendly, and the salon itself has such a chic, stylish, and welcoming vibe. I will start off by saying that I rarely ever leave reviews but I had such a horrible experience at this salon and need to warn people. I went and got a balayage (or so I thought) and the stylist Marissa was so busy that day that she was running around and left the foils in my hair for over an hour, to the point where I could feel the heat from the bleach. Absolutely incredible experience!! This is my first time here and I was so lucky to be paired with Avleen! She was so thorough, listened to my hair history and helped fix my hair and make it into my dream hair! She was so meticulous and helped achieve my hair vision!
