Excellent cuisine and service! 💯
If I had the choice of going anywhere in NYC, I’d go to Sofreh first. The cocktails are phenomenal, the space is wonderfully intimate and beautiful, the staff exemplifies Persian hospitality. Most important: the food is incredible— a total treat. Every time.
Second time here- they treat me like a local. You’re welcomed warmly- it’s a quiet elegant hospitality, which mirrors the exquisite food-. The bartender, wait and reception staff are knowledgeable about the food, the pairings - -take their advice- they know. The food is phenomenal, exquisite, you will relish every bite! The sound is only people talking and dining- engaged in good food and conversation- It’s truly one of the greats in bklyn- and nyc!!!
Mediocre at best. Maybe my expectations were high but dishes and service weren’t remarkable.
Disclaimer, went with my persian family so we grew up eating Iranian food. This place can be improved so writing some constructive criticism. The food’s TASTE (half chicken with apricot sauce, barberries etc. and ghorme sabzi with tender beef) was incredible and high quality. But unfortunately it took over an hour to be served, and the rice plus mains were all fully cold once they hit the table.
