Midwest Preservation Caretakers of Cultural history and art, no matter from what country, are to be admired. The Sod House Museum in Gothenburg, Nebraska, is part time capsule of American Pioneer life and part Art Gallery. The Sod house is authentically replicated and well kept. The barbed wire, full-scale, sculptures of Bison and Native Americans, are an interesting use of the material. I loved both the sod house and the museum store. It was definitely eye-opening as to how the early pioneers lived. The tour was informative, and the guide was passionate about keeping the museum open. The buffalo and Indian on horseback in the grass were so creative! I hope to return soon with my family.
