Great Trek bikes and great service. It was raining and they gave us rain ponchos which saved the day.
Hired E-bikes and rode out to Chilkoot lake, bikes were great, very scenic ride and we saw eagles and a bear in the stream feeding.
A group of 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Sockeye Cycle. We arrived via a Viking cruise ship and had a very short walk to Sockeye. Hannah was our guide - knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. We biked several miles over to a trail head and then hiked to lovely beach. Along the way, Hannah was a fabulous source of interesting info on the forest, life in Haines, Alaska, and everything else you would expect from a superb tour guide. Excellent service & rental bikes! Dustin greeted us with a friendly smile, the bikes were tuned & ready to go, we were able to upgrade my wife to an e-bike, and on request Dustin added a bag with pump, multitool, tire levers & a patch kit (which we never needed). We comfortably cycled the 12 miles & back to Chilkoot Lake, saw plenty of wildlife (a bear at the fish weir, an otter in the inlet, a bald eagle, and fish jumping), then tooled around downtown checking out the sights. We booked a bike tour through the glacial Ford Chilkat Lake. Michael and Eric, absolute excellent guides, and the bikes were in terrific condition. You can tell they really take pride in the conditions of their bikes and the experience of their guests. highly recommend!
