You'd think getting your name legally changed would be a one-stop-shop. However, the SSA office is fond of not delivering your new SSN on time and then acting like it's YOUR fault for not receiving it. I was told it was "too late" to file for a non-received, even though I'd called in the required two weeks. A week later, I called again and was told I had to come in for another appointment. So thank you, SSA, for proving how much of a scam the government really is.

I drove down from my hometown to get replacement Social Security cards and was treated So poorly by a woman with a purple/Lavender mohawk. When my number was called(I was the only person in the entire office), I go to sit down, The Purple Mohawk woman Said you need to sit in the other chair so I can see your face. Called on a Wednesday at 10:54am and recording said office is closed not sure why it's not a holiday and online states office hours are mon. - Fri. 9am-12pm then 1pm-4pm it's already hard enough to get through to the office without extra complications
