Terrible organization. It allows gangs and prison mentality to run its facilities. Royal Palms, for one. They say theyre open minded and want to help the individual but they already condemn the addict to passivity because "they dont know any better". I was threatened and bullied for helping clean up usage, for being HIV positive and gay, and management did NOTHING. I was requesting assistance to transfer after week two. I'm a 65 yea old homeless woman veteran, Registered Nurse. I am at Bimini Recovery Center due to being homeless. Never had.any addiction. I give up. The enforced work here, especially unloading trucks at the bottom of the long staircase, has compomised my knees. The enforced kitchen work from 4:30 am to 6pm is unconscionable. I give up. No therapists here, just poorly trsined 'counselors'. Shouldn't i have the right to leave group meetings when i find the profanity offensive?
